Kimmich plays down black eye ahead of Stuttgart clash

Joshua Kimmich suffered a black eye after a collision with teammate Marcel Sabitzer during Bayern München’s 2-0 win over Inter in the Champions League last night.

Nevertheless, the midfielder went on to play the full game and doesn’t believe that he’s in danger of missing Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart.

“I’m fine… I’ll be fit for the game on Saturday,” Kimmich told Bild on his way to Bayern’s team bus last night.

27-year-old Kimmich has started every game for Bayern so far this season, racking up two goals and three assists in eight matches.
