Copenhagen are closing in on the transfer of Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko after the 20-year-old passed his medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Moukoko will join for a reported €5m plus a further €2m in bonuses, signing a five-year contract. The Germany international will take a significant pay cut to join the Danish champions where he will earn a salary of around €1.75m if certain parameters are met, a decrease on his reported €8.5m salary at Borussia Dortmund.
A chance to continue his development
After a failed loan spell at OGC Nice, a move to Copenhagen gives Moukoko an excellent opportunity to re-find his form. The 20-year-old struggled with just two goals and two assists across 11 league games, totalling 199 minutes. With just one year remaining on his contract at Dortmund, the Germany international has failed to live up to expectations and with a failed loan spell in France, has seen his market value half from €20m to €10m, per Transfermarkt.
