Michael Jordan, the consensus GOAT in NBA, received a call asking for coaching advice ahead of one of the most fiercely-contested sporting rivalries.
The 62-year-old made his name playing for the Chicago Bulls over two periods from 1984 to 1998, winning the NBA championship six times alongside iconic teammates Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. As well as being a basketball icon, for his exploits on the court as well as off, through his legendary Air Jordan brand, the sporting legend now owns an NBA franchise with the Charlotte Hornets, and is a regular on NASCAR tracks because of his stake in 23XI Racing.
Jordan is also an extraordinarily gifted golfer, understands the game, and received a call from Team USA’s captain Keegan Bradley requesting help ahead of the marquee Ryder Cup event which takes place from the 26th of September to the 28th.

Team USA captain Keegan Bradley wants all the help he can get in the Ryder Cup
Pat McAfee Show
Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show earlier on Wednesday, the 25th of June, Bradley explained his admiration of Jordan, and how he could help Team USA in golf.
Bradley said he’s talking to “everybody” ahead of the event because any help they can get, from any elite talent, athlete, or coach, could make a difference when it comes to one of the most fiercely-contested events in all sports. Jordan, after all, has a handicap of 1.9, but is renowned for being one of the most competitive athletes America has ever produced.
“A strange thing about this life that I’ve lived is, I’ve grown up and have been able to meet my idols. In a few instances, become friends with them — Michael.”
“When you grow up, and you meet Michael, and you get to be friends with him, you realize, ‘This guy is the greatest guy ever’.”
Elaborating, Bradley said: “He’s someone that I can lean on. He’s always there for me. He doesn’t want any credit, and he just wants to help the team. And I think that’s a message to our team that we are going to do whatever we can to just win the Ryder Cup. Whatever that is. It could be a small thing, could be a big thing.
“The smallest gestures now can make the biggest difference in September.”
