Germany will look to secure a place in the UEFA U21 European Championship final with a win over France on Wednesday night. Antonio Di Salvo is expected to name the same team that beat Italy 3-2 in the quarter-final with Nick Woltemade and Nicolò Tresoldi leading the line.
Eintracht Frankfurt duo Nnamdi Collins and Nathaniel Brown will provide width as attacking full-backs with Brajan Gruda and Paul Nebel operating in a double-10 behind Woltemade and Tresoldi. The former has been the start of the tournament and is leading the goalscoring charts with five goals.
In midfield, captain Eric Martel will earn his 23rd U21 cap and should start alongside Rocco Reitz.
Against Italy, Nelson Weiper and Merlin Röhl came off the bench to score against Italy. Should Di Salvo opt to make changes, it’s possible that the latter could come in.
