Arsenal’s next significant arrival is likely to be Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is expected at London Colney this week to seal a move, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners have been focusing on trying to get a new centre-forward through the door in the summer transfer window, with no success so far. Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres are the two big names linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but so far, we’re yet to see any deal reach the final stages.
A move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi appears to be done, and Arsenal could announce that signing in July. After falling short in the Premier League title race and failing to lift a trophy during the 2024/2025 season, the north London club will be desperate to continue bringing in reinforcements before the end of the summer window.
Kepa Expected at London Colney This Week
Set to complete his £5m move to Arsenal
According to a report from The Athletic, aside from the announcement of Zubimendi, Kepa looks set to be the next ‘significant’ arrival for Arsenal. It’s claimed that the Chelsea goalkeeper is expected at London Colney this week to complete his £5m move across London.

The 30-year-old Spain international, who was described as “world-class” by Mateo Kovacic, would likely come in as backup to David Raya, but he’s started to turn his career around after a difficult period. Kepa joined Chelsea for an astronomical fee a few years ago, and it didn’t quite work out for him at Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish goalkeeper joined Bournemouth on loan for the 2024/2025 season, and he started to show why Chelsea paid the money they did to bring him to England. It will be interesting to see how satisfied Kepa is with being a number two, and he could now provide some genuine competition for Raya between the sticks.
The signing of a new centre-forward will likely be a priority, but with Neto’s loan spell ending at the end of the 2024/2025 campaign, a new number two goalkeeper was necessary. The move for Kepa has even been described as ‘deal of the century’ by Adrian Clarke due to the low fee.
