Gerardo Seoane set to stay at Borussia Mönchengladbach despite strong interest from Sevilla.
Swiss coach Gerardo Seoane isn’t going anywhere, according to his agent José Noguera. He spoke with Sky after lots of reports linking the name of the former Bayer Leverkusen coach with the Europa League specialists.
“The rumours are not true. There is no offer from FC Sevilla and no negotiations,” said Noguera. “Gerardo has a valid contract with Borussia (‘Gladbach) and is already planning for the coming season. He is not thinking about leaving.”
Seoane had a difficult end of the season after ‘Gladbach toying with European places for a short time. He led Leverkusen to finish second in the Bundesliga before a bad start to the 2022/23 season saw him replaced by Xabi Alonso. Gladbach’s sporting director Roland Virkus consistently defended the 46-year-old despite ending the season with a seven-game winless run.
