Fenerbahce table offer for Kyle Walker

Fenerbahce have submitted an offer to sign Kyle Walker, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

Walker is set to leave Manchester City after eight years despite claiming earlier this year that his time at the Etihad might not be over.

The England international, whose City contract runs until 2026, spent the second half of last season on loan with Serie A giants AC Milan, who, however, opted against making his move permanent.

“When you come to say goodbye, it’s hard,” he said via the Kyle Walker Podcast.

“After I said my goodbyes, Pep got up and spoke and said a really nice message to me, just saying thank you for everything.

“But listen, it’s not over, I’m just on loan here. I’ve got to take into consideration that I can go back.

“Obviously both parties need to come to an agreement come the end of the season. Listen, the chapter’s not fully closed, but we’ll see what happens.”

While he remains a target for Saudi Arabian clubs, Walker could be set to continue his career in Europe, with Fenerbahce now plotting a move to sign him.

Off the back of four consecutive second-place finishes, the Yellow Canaries are eager to pip city rivals Galatasaray to domestic glory and are targeting some major acquisitions this summer.

A move to Istanbul would see Walker play under the renowned Jose Mourinho—a manager he knows so well off the back of multiple encounters during Mourinho’s spell in English football.

Elsewhere, Fenerbahce are eyeing a move for Dusan Vlahovic this summer to replace the departed Edin Dzeko, although the Serbian’s financial demands could prove to be a stumbling block.

Fenerbahce have also been linked with a move for free agent Jonathan David, although they will have to fend off competition from several clubs.
