The Saxony club could make some easy cash thanks to sell on clauses in the wing-back’s contract.
RB Leipzig could stand to profit from the potential transfer of Angeliño, according to Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze.
Angeliño’s current employers AS Roma are in talks with Saudi club Al-Hilal over a deal for the Spaniard.
Should the transfer be completed, Die Roten Bullen could pocket around 10 percent of the total fee paid for his services.
Sky information believes the rumoured asking price is around €20million, meaning Leipzig could be owed €2million of that total.
Angeliño made 68 appearances for Leipzig before loans to Hoffenheim, Galatasaray and Roma who eventually purchased him for €5million.
