In addition to Borussia Mönchengladbach and SC Freiburg, Werder Bremen are reportedly also showing interest in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Igor Matanovic.
Werder Bremen have reportedly emerged as contenders to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Igor Matanovic.
According to Deichstube, a source close to the Werder, the Green-Whites are keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old’s situation.
After a strong loan spell with Karlsruher SC during the 2023/24 season, expectations were high when Matanovic returned to Frankfurt last summer. However, he struggled to make a significant impact throughout the campaign.
As a result, Frankfurt are reportedly willing to let the Croatian forward go, with a fee of around €8 million being floated.. A loan move is another possibility.
Werder are also reportedly interested in Eintracht Braunschweig’s Rayan Philippe as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
