A goal finished off by Jude Bellingham ensured that Real Madrid secured a La Liga-best benchmark this past season.
This came owing to a sequence of passes during a meeting with Sevilla earlier this month.
Real Madrid made the trip to The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on May 18th, to lock horns with Sevilla in the penultimate outing of the two clubs’ respective seasons.
When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline, owing to goals on the part of Kylian Mbappé, and Jude Bellingham.
The latter’s strike came with just minutes remaining in the 90, from close range.
And as alluded to above, putting the finishing touches on Real Madrid’s victory aside, Bellingham’s finish also assured that Carlo Ancelotti’s side secured a La Liga season record.
As revealed by statisticians Opta:
‘Jude Bellingham’s (Real Madrid) goal against Sevilla, last May 18, had a series of 35 uninterrupted passes prior to the goal, being the goal with the highest sequence of passes leading to a goal in La Liga 2024/25.’
