Daichi Kamada’s superb performance against RB Leipzig on Matchday 5 displayed just how important the midfielder is to this Eintracht Frankfurt side. Frankfurt denied Benfica’s late €8 million bid in the summer window and are now determined to sign the Japanese international to a contract extension, according to Bild.
Sporting Director Markus Krosche stated that, “He’s got a year left on his contract, but I assume he’ll stay here. He also feels comfortable and knows what he has in us.”
Kamada’s contract expires in 2023 along with star defender Evan Ndicka. Frankfurt believe that Kamada is willing to agree a deal for another two to three years. The 26-year-old already has five goals and two assists to begin the season.
