A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Monday been afforded his latest international call-up.
The player in question? Andriy Lunin.
Goalkeeper Lunin is for his part fresh off another challenging campaign all told in Spain’s capital.
Across all competitions, the 26-year-old was afforded a respectable 14 appearances by departing Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
When it mattered most, though, Lunin was again forced to play 2nd fiddle to Blancos no.1 Thibaut Courtois.
Heading into the summer, the future of the talented shot-stopper is therefore considered as being somewhat up in the air once more.
As alluded to above, though, this has not prevented Lunin from being entrusted by his country early this week.
As confirmed by way of a release across social media on Monday, the former Zorya Luhansk talent has been called upon by Ukraine for a pair of upcoming friendly fixtures against Canada and New Zealand.
