Leicester City and Belgian side Westerlo have submitted offers for Bourg-en-Bresse’s 18-year-old striker Abdoul Karim Traoré, one of the standout young performers in the Championnat National this season, according to Foot Mercato.
Traoré, born in 2007 in Kankan, Guinea, scored three goals this campaign for Bourg-en-Bresse, who finished 5th in the French third tier. Despite a modest goal tally, the teenager’s physical presence, technical profile, and potential have reportedly attracted serious interest from abroad.
Leicester — recently relegated to the Championship — are said to have tabled a bid for the forward, as have Westerlo, who finished 9th in the Belgian Pro League’s regular season. Both clubs are keen to act early in a summer window expected to draw multiple suitors.
Traoré is under contract with Bourg-en-Bresse until June 2026, and his stock has risen sharply after a breakout season at senior level.
