Barcelona star’s agent responds to Man City links

The agent of Barcelona star Dani Olmo has responded to the recent speculation linking his client with a move to England with Manchester City.

The name of midfielder Olmo, for those not aware, has proven a prominent one in the media headlines across Europe over recent days.

This comes amid claims that the former RB Leipzig man has been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of the aforementioned Man City.

The Sky Blues are on the lookout for reinforcements in attacking midfield with a view to next season, ahead of the imminent departure of club legend Kevin De Bruyne.

And Pep Guardiola, for one, is understood to be a keen admirer of Olmo’s talents.

Speaking during an exchange with the media on Friday evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his client’s Etihad links was put to agent Andy Bara.

In quotes gathered by Patrick Berger of Sky, relaid by journalist Florian Plettenberg, though, Bara was keen to reiterate Olmo’s full commitment to the cause at Barcelona:

“We are not talking to any other club. Dani is very happy in Barcelona at the moment, he’s winning titles there and is part of a great team. The rumours are not true. But of course, you never know what the future will bring.”
