According to The Athletic, Aston Villa have offered a new long-term contract to keep Boubacar Kamara (25) at the Premier League club. Despite a new contract being offered, the French midfielder is still pondering whether to sign a new deal to extend his stay at Villa Park.
The former Marseille midfielder’s existing deal is set to expire in 2027. However, Kamara is subject to the interest of several clubs, and officials are in contact with the midfielder’s agent to understand how contract negotiations with the Birmingham-based club are progressing. Negotiations between Villa and the 25-year-old are ongoing.
Whilst Kamara is yet to decide on whether to sign a new contract at Villa Park, the midfielder desires to stay in the Premier League. If the defensive midfielder does not sign a new deal, he could potentially be eyeing up a move to a divisional rival. L’Équipe previously reported that the “big 4” clubs in the Premier League were interested in his services.
