With seconds remaining, Stuttgart have today confirmed the signing of Serhou Guirassy (26) from Rennes on loan until the end of the season. The Frenchman arrives as a successor to Saša Kalajdžić.
“It’s nice to be back in the Bundesliga,” Guirassy told the club’s official channels. “I’ve only heard about Stuttgart and VfB, I remember the great atmosphere here in the stadium from my time at Cologne. I’m looking forward to getting to know my new teammates and I hope that with goals I can help ensure that we all have a good season together.”
Guirassy played for Cologne between 2016 and 2018, featuring 45 times and scoring nine goals before returning to France with Amiens. He then moved to Rennes in 2020 and scored 25 goals and created four across 81 games in all competitions.
“Serhou has proven his qualities and international level and has gained important experience in various leagues and competitions,” said VfB Sporting Director Sven Mislintat. “We are convinced that he can quickly become an important factor in our game.”
