It’s MLS

transfer deadline day, and clubs around the league are working around the clock to get their final trades and signings in before midnight.

Here at GIVEMESPORT, we’ve got you covered with all the moves and transfer buzz you need to know about, including plenty of exclusive reports by Tom Bogert.

LAFC sign Frankie Amaya

Frankie Amaya

LAFC have acquired midfielder Frankie Amaya from Toluca on loan, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

Amaya spent the majority of his career in MLS, first with FC Cincinnati then with the New York Red Bulls, before being signed by Liga MX’s Toluca for $4 million last summer.

Amaya, 24, made 18 appearances for the club.

Muller Rejects Cincinnati Offer

MixCollage-27-Sep-2024-08-47-PM-6963

German legend Thomas Müller rejected an offer to sign with FC Cincinnati

this summer once his Bayern Munich

contract expires, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

Müller, 35, will depart Bayern this summer when his contract expires after spending his entire career at the club. He has six goals and six assists in 1,500 minutes with the team this year.

In his career, Müller has 248 goals and 274 assists in 747 appearances for Bayern Munich.

The star forward has had an impeccable run at the club, winning 12 Bundesliga titles (with a 13th coming soon) and two Champions League titles among a trophy-laden career.

Real Salt Lake

are nearing a deal to acquire forward Willy Agada from Sporting KC, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

RSL are still working on a deal to sign Slovakia international forward Róbert Boženík from Boavista as a DP, but as revealed by GIVEMESPORT yesterday, no documents have been yet signed. One source says Boavista are making late demands that is putting the deal in jeopardy.

Real Salt Lake at final stage to sign DP forward: Sources

Real Salt Lake are in the final stage to sign forward Robert Bozenik from Boavista, sources say.

Real Salt Lake’s potential deal to acquire Agada from Sporting KC is around $500,000 GAM another $350,000 GAM in add-ons.

The transfer window closes at 11:59 pm CT on Wednesday night.

Agada, 25, is a proven goalscorer in MLS but has fallen down the SKC depth chart. The club signed star forward Dejan Joveljic from the LA Galaxy this winter and deploy a one-striker system. The club also added Mexican forward Santiago Muñoz from Santos Laguna on Tuesday night.

Agada scored 10 goals in just over 1,700 MLS minutes for SKC last season. He has 24 goals in total for the club. His contract is up at the end of 2025.

The deal gives RSL a strong option at the position whether or not Boženík ultimately gets done. If so, Pablo Mastroeni has further options to play with both forwards together.

Quakes Complete Buck Signing

Noel Buck - New England

The San Jose Earthquakes

have completed the signing of midfielder Noel Buck from the New England Revolution

in a cash trade for up to $650,000.

The move reunites Buck with ‘Quakes head coach Bruce Arena, who gave the midfielder his professional breakthrough with the Revs. Buck thrived under Arena and became one of the league’s brightest young talents.

Buck, who just turned 20 this month, fell down the depth chart following Arena’s departure from the club. He was on the periphery in 2024 until sealing a loan to Southampton’s U-21s last summer and has just 22 minutes played in 2025.

NYCFC Finalizing Deal for Australian Midfielder

Aiden O’Neill

New York City FC

are finalizing a deal to sign Australian international midfielder Aiden O’Neill from Belgian club Standard Liège, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

O’Neill is a key starter for Standard, and has 17 caps with the Australian national team.

Charlotte Bring in Marshall-Rutty on Loan

Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty

Charlotte FC

have acquired winger/right-back Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty on loan from CF Montreal

, in exchange for $100,000 in GAM.

The 20-year-old has made six appearances for Montreal this season, including two starts.

Dynamo Bring In Forward

Toyosi Olusanya

The Houston Dynamo

have acquired forward Toyosi Olusanya from Scottish Premiership side St. Mirren. Olusanya, 27, has signed a contract through 2026, with options for 2027 and 2028.

The England native has scored 22 goals and tallied six assists in 105 professional appearances in Scotland and England.

SKC Complete Munoz Signing

Santiago Munoz

Sporting Kansas City

have finalized a deal to sign Mexican forward Santiago Muñoz, as reported by GIVEMESPORT.

The deal is a loan through the end of the season with a purchase option, sources add. Muñoz, 22, has American citizenship, so he won’t occupy an international slot. The forward had a prolific run with various Mexican youth national teams, earning a loan to Newcastle U-23s. He returned to Santos and has scored six first-team goals.

RSL Expecting to Sign Bozenik

Robert Bozenik - Boavista

Real Salt Lake

are still confident of completing a deal to sign Slovakia international forward Róbert Boženík from Boavista, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

The player completed his medical on Tuesday and toured the facilities, but no documents have been signed and submitted yet. That is not abnormal, with plenty of time Wednesday to do so before the deadline closes.

The trickier part is Boavista.

The deal is agreed between all parties for $2 million, but one source says there’s a bit of a haggle over which currency the two-million dollar agreement was reached in. €2 million is worth around $2.3 million.

How the Trade Market is Looking

Julian Gressel Miami

Inter Miami CF

midfielder Julian Gressel is overwhelmingly likely to be traded, with numerous clubs calling and talks progressing. Gressel is the biggest name to watch that I can say I’m expecting to move.

There are calls happening across the league for others, but there’s no guarantee on the players I’ve heard that it doesn’t make sense to speculate. There are, of course, plenty more I don’t know about. We’ll see what shakes down on deadline day.

A lot of teams need to move a player out to make the space to bring a player in, which is gumming up talks, multiple sources say.

With

Sporting KC signing Mexican forward Santiago Muñoz
, multiple sources in the league have reached out to me asking about Willy Agada. Several clubs have called about Agada this window — Real Salt Lake and the Columbus Crew being two who looked into it — but SKC rebuffed all advances. They made it clear they wanted to keep Agada.

Becher Staying in St. Louis

St. Louis CITY SC

have exercised the purchase option on forward Simon Becher, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

Becher joined the club on loan last summer from Danish club AC Horsens. The loan was set to expire at the end of June. The club are happy with Becher and doing it now takes away any doubt and ensures there isn’t a waiting period between the loan expiring (end of June) and the summer transfer window opening (July 24).

Becher, 25, has seven goals and two assists in around 1,300 minutes across all competitions since joining last season. He has appeared in all nine of the club’s MLS matches this season, starting four. He’s a valuable member of the squad.
