RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has responded to Chelsea’s reported push to sign Josko Gvardiol.
According to Italian transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are offering €90 million to sign Gvardiol in 2023. Mintzlaff, however, expects Gvardiol to stay long term.
“Josko a super player who is certainly attracting a lot of interest. But he still has a contract with us until 2026,” Mintzlaff told Bild.
“We assume that he will play with us not only this season, but also next season.”
The 20-year-old Croatian centre-back has four years left on his contract with Leipzig.
