Former Real Madrid star Marcelo has on Sunday moved to send a message of appreciation the way of current Blancos star Eduardo Camavinga.
This comes after the Frenchman conjured up a match-winning performance in Real’s latest outing.
Los Blancos marked their return to action this afternoon, making the trip to Mendizorroza for a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged on the right side of a hard-fought 1-0 result, to keep alive hopes of chasing down table-topping Barcelona.
And it was the aforementioned Camavinga who notched the only goal of the game.
After a clever exchange with Federico Valverde on the edge of the penalty area, the 22-year-old bent home a gorgeous left-footed finish.
And as alluded to above, such exploits have since culminated in recognition on the part of a Real Madrid legend.
Taking to the comments section of Camavinga’s post-match Instagram post, the aforementioned Marcelo wrote:
‘Camaa ooohh’
