Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard is attracting attention from AC Milan, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
The £75,000 per-week star is out of contract at his boyhood club next month and is widely expected to leave Old Trafford in the upcoming window.
What’s the latest news involving Lingard?
Having been on the pitch for less than 550 minutes this season, Lingard leaving the Red Devils looks extremely likely, it now appears to be a case of where he’ll end up.
The likes of Newcastle and West Ham have been strongly linked with his services, although the Telegraph reported earlier this month that a move abroad is also an option for the England man.
Lingard has never played outside of England previously, while his record in Europe is just four goals in 43 appearances for United.
But with Newcastle now out of the race because of his wage demands and the Hammers yet to reach a breakthrough, Jones believes that Lingard should give “serious thought” over a move to San Siro.
What did Jones say about Lingard?
He told GIVEMESPORT: “It does seem like AC Milan are starting to become realistic contenders for him.
“It could be a great option – they are Serie A winners, and they are on the verge of some major investment that might see them dominate Italy for a few years. It could be amazing – he’d have to give it serious thought.”

Would AC Milan be a good move for Lingard?
While moving abroad is potentially a daunting prospect for any footballer, Lingard needs to look no further than England teammates Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham to know what a move to Italy could do for his career.
Not only did both of those two win silverware this season but leaving their comfort zone has allowed them to start playing regular football again, which has also got them back into the Three Lions squad.
Furthermore, with Milan recently pipping Inter to the Serie A title, should Lingard move to San Siro, he would be back playing in the Champions League, while also challenging for major honours once again, something that appears unlikely to happen at Old Trafford next term.
With all that taken into consideration, if Milan do offer their services to Lingard, it’s an opportunity that he should grasp with both hands.
