Barcelona president Joan Laporta provided the perfect response to a young supporter’s recent plea for two of world football’s biggest names to be signed by the club.
Laporta for his part stopped for an exchange with a group of Barcelona fans at the club’s training base early this week.
During as much, the Spaniard signed autographs, posed for photos, and fielded some questions.
One of those in attendance, in turn, made use of the opportunity to call for some headline-worthy reinforcements this summer.
The fan in question was heard pleading:
‘Sign (Erling) Haaland and (Lionel) Messi!’
Laporta, however, showcased all of his experience in dealing with such situations, in assuring the young supporter that:
‘We have Lamine Yamal!’
Youngster Lamine will for his part of course be hopeful of proving himself decisive once more on Wednesday night, as Barcelona prepare to lock horns with Atlético Madrid in the 2nd leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie between the clubs.
