Dayot Upamecano is unlikely to play for Bayern Munich again this season.
According to Bild, the French centre-back will be out for the rest of the season unless a “miracle’ happens”.
The German tabloid reveals that the Frenchman has a loose joint in his left knee, with tests revealing cartilage damage. As a result, he is expected to be sidelined for at least three months.
Upamecano, like Davies, who will be out for at least six months with a torn cruciate ligament, is in Innsbruck for surgery.
Bayern announced on Wednesday that the French centre-back will be out for several weeks.
