According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Arnaud Kalimuendo (23) has been attracting interest and several clubs have made initial approaches ahead of the summer transfer window,
The France U21 has often caught the attention of clubs around Europe and it was expected last summer that a big enough offer would come and convince Rennes to part with the Paris Saint-Germain academy product.
In early August, L’Équipe reported that Rennes had rejected a €20 million offer from the Bundesliga when VfB Stuttgart chanced their luck. The German side, however, were not thought to be Kalimuendo’s priority.
It’s been a difficult season for Rennes in general with the club onto their third permanent manager Habib Beye after Julien Stéphan and Jorge Sampaoli were sacked for disappointing results. However, Kalimunedo has still managed to score 11 in 25 appearances and even registered a hattrick during the 5-0 victory over AS Saint-Étienne back in November.
