Sport Bild reports that five teams are interested in trying to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck in the summer.
It was reported earlier in the week that Dortmund would like to make Schlotterbeck the face of the club going forward, even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season, but it does not seem that easy anymore.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all been linked with the 25-year-old.
It will be up to Schlotterbeck whether he wants to leave the Westfalenstadion or stay, despite no European football. If he does stay he will receive a large pay rise, more than double his current salary and could also take over from Emre Can as the club captain.
Other players who are more likely to leave Dortmund in the summer are Can, Marcel Sabitzer, Niklas Süle and Julian Brandt. However, none of them are looking for new clubs due to the salary that they are currently paid.
