Erik ten Hag wanted Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard at Manchester United, according to Sky Germany. The Premier League club made an enquiry, but no negotiations took place.
Despite being linked with a move away from Bayern Munich, Pavard will remain at the Bundesliga club after establishing himself in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad at right-back despite the arrival of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax. It was suggested that Pavard would be behind the Moroccan, but the player’s arrival has elevated the Frenchman’s performances, who can also operate in central-defence.
Chelsea had also shown an interest in signing Pavard this summer as a replacement for Antonio Rüdiger, but the 26-year-old informed Bayern bosses and Nagelsmann that he wishes to remain at the club.
Per the report, Manchester United then made another approach, but a move to Old Trafford was out of the question. Pavard has played in all four games across all competitions for Bayern this season.
