Despite slipping down the pecking order at Wolfsburg, Max Kruse is not expected to leave the club.

Wolfsburg managing director for sport Jörg Schmadtke has made it clear that Max Kruse is not “currently” for sale despite being unhappy with his lack of playing time under new head coach Niko Kovac.
“I can understand that Max is not satisfied at the moment. But it’s up to the coach to make the decisions,” Schmadtke told Wolfsburger Nachrichten.
After Kruse publicly said that he wants to play more, Kovac fueled the discussion about the veteran forward. Now Schmadtke has asked them both to show more restraint.
“I have spoken to both of them and told them that I would like to see more calm in this regard,” Schmadtke revealed.
