Omar Marmoush has rejected an offer from VfL Wolfsburg to extend his contract, which expires in 2023.
“At the moment we can not find a solution in terms of a contract extension,” Wolfsburg managing director for sport Jörg Schmadtke admitted in an interview with Wolfsburger Allgemeine/Aller Zeitung.
“We have signaled our willingness to extend, but the other side does not want to extend at the moment.”
Marmoush has been linked with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Brentford FC and Espanyol, but Wolfsburg don’t want to sell him.
“Nevertheless, we will not let Omar go,” Schmadtke confirmed.¨
Instead, Wolfsburg are hoping that Marmoush will have a change of heart and sign a new deal at a later point.
