In preparation of Borussia Dortmund’s game against Hertha Berlin, Karim Adeyemi and Donyell Malen were among the players missing from Tuesday morning’s training session.
As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, Adeyemi (foot), Mahmoud Dahoud (shoulder) and Mateu Morey (fitness) were missing, whilst Malen is expected to miss the Hertha game completely with a muscular injury.
Adeyemi’s Bundesliga debut for Borussia Dortmund lasted just 23 minutes on the opening weekend. The Germany international injured his foot after a duel with Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié.
Dahoud dislocated his shoulder against Werder Bremen, which could see a first appearance in a Borussia Dortmund jersey for summer arrival Salih Özcan.
In terms of the transfer market, Manuel Akanji and Nico Schulz could yet leave the Bundesliga club. A last minute departure for Thomas Meunier, although unlikely, is not ruled out.
Dortmund head into their game against Hertha Berlin following a 3-2 defeat against Werder Bremen last weekend, despite leading 2-0 with 89 minutes played.
