Borna Sosa could still leave VfB Stuttgart before the transfer window closes in September.
According to Sky Germany, the Croatian wide man has reached a verbal agreement with Atalanta.
The sticking point is the transfer fee, with VfB Stuttgart reportedly demanding €20 million to let Sosa go.
Atalanta, meanwhile, could make a first offer of €12 million plus bonuses, per Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio.
