Mathys Tel now considering Bayern stay amid English interest

Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel is no longer ruling out the possibility of staying at the Bavarian club beyond the close of the transfer window, according to Kerry Hau. He has reportedly told the Bayern bosses of his latest decision.

The Frenchman has been in the middle of a tug-of-war between several top European outfits, including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Marseille.

Earlier today, he rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur. He is now more open to staying with the Rekordmeister. Clubs will keep trying to convince him to leave the Allianz Arena.

Tel has always been reluctant to leave Germany in search of playing time. He was angling for a six-month loan but recently started considering a permanent exit.

However, it appears he is back at ground zero, open to staying with Bayern, biding his time till his opportunity comes.

Many Bayern fans want to see Tel usurp the underwhelming Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry. The pair have been poor this season, but manager Vincent Kompany is reluctant about giving the youngster a run in the first team.

Per the report, one of the many clubs discussing a move could still swoop for him. They are all trying to present the right project and vision for the player to convince him to change his mind.

Chelsea need a winger to replace the suspended Mykhailo Mudryk and have been hot on his heels since the opening of the transfer window. The cash-rich Blues only need a yes from the player.

Villa are also there as they seek a replacement for Jhon Duran, who signed for Al Nassr today.

Premier League giants Arsenal and Man Utd are in the mix as they seek reinforcement before the transfer window slams shut on Monday. However, they cannot afford to keep waiting around to convince the indecisive former Rennes star.
