Bild report today that Manchester United have submitted an opening offer to Eintracht Frankfurt for Germany international goalkeeper Kevin Trapp (32).
It’s unclear as to whether Eintracht would accept an offer for Trapp and after winning the Europa League last season and competing in this season’s Champions League, a departure would come as a surprise.
Trapp earns a reported €3.5m at Eintracht Frankfurt and is a top earner – the German’s current deal runs until 2024. A departure with less than two weeks remaining would force SGE to enter the transfer market for a replacement, something which seems unlikely at this stage, given he’s their undisputed No. 1.
After leaving Eintracht for PSG in 2015 for €9m, Trapp returned to the club on loan in 2018 before signing on a permanent basis. The 32-year-old has played 261 games across all competitions for the Hessen club, missing just three Bundesliga games over the last two seasons.
