Leverkusen are winless in their first four competitive games of the season, but support is still being shown for manager Gerardo Seoane by the club brass.
With a DFB-Pokal loss to SV Elversberg and three straight defeats to start the league campaign, trainer Gerardo Seoane is taking a lot of heat. However, it seems that for now the Swiss manager has the support of the BayArena club.
When asked by Bild whether Seoane should be trusted going forward, Leverkusen CEO Fernando Caro stated that, “Definitely. One hundred percent. I have no doubt about that.”
However, Sporting Director Simon Rolfes did allude to the press that they could step up their business in the final days of the transfer market: “That is of course, a thought and a possibility…The squad is more or less together. We have to remember what made us strong. This is not only to be solved with new arrivals, but above all from within ourselves.”
Leverkusen have scored just one goal through their first three Bundesliga games. Mainz present the next challenge on Saturday.
