Conor McGregor could be returning to the UFC this year.
It’s a headline we’ve seen pretty much every year, without fail, since the former UFC two-weight champion’s last fight in 2021, when he lost back-to-back bouts to long-time rival Dustin Poirier, suffering a broken leg in the trilogy fight. He has been linked with a comeback to elite mixed martial arts ever since, and even had a fight scheduled with Michael Chandler on the 29th of June last year, but withdrew with a month to go citing a broken pinky toe.
Maybe this time it’s different. But, maybe not. Regardless, a hot mic moment showed a timeline for McGregor’s apparent return date — and it’s in 2025.
