On-loan Barcelona star Vitor Roque was quick to pay his respects to his parent club on Wednesday evening.
This comes after Roque’s Real Betis were taught something of a lesson by Hansi Flick’s side.
Barca played host to Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis a short time ago, with a spot in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey on the line.
When all was said and done, the former ran riot, to the tune of an eventual 5-1 result.
The aforementioned Roque, meanwhile, featured from the off, and even managed to net the visitors’ only goal from the penalty spot late on.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle in Catalunya’s capital, though, the Brazilian was eager to shift focus onto the excellence of his ex-teammates.
During an interview with Movistar, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, Roque was not shy in revealing his opinion that:
“Barcelona are the best team in the world right now.”
