Bayern Munich have officially confirmed the signing of 18-year-old forward Bajung Darboe from Los Angeles FC.
The United States youth international joins the Bavarians on a long-term deal and will initially play for the club’s reserves.
“We’ve been aware of Bajung for a while and have already had him with us in Munich for a trial,” said FC Bayern’s campus and youth development director, Jochen Saier.
“We’re very pleased that he’s now moving here permanently and wants to establish himself in European football through our reserves. We thank LAFC for their cooperation on this transfer and we’re both excited about his future development.”
Bild reported the deal had been completed earlier this month, estimating the fee to be in the region of €1.5 million.
