According to a report from L’Équipe, Aston Villa have made enquiries into Sevilla’s Loïc Badé (24), while the English media suggest that Newcastle and Liverpool are also interested in the defender.
The French outlet writes that Aston Villa have not yet made an offer to their Spanish counterparts. However, they have made contact as they attempt to work out the conditions they would have to meet to make a move possible during the current transfer window.
Badé has a contract with Sevilla that ties him to the club until 2029, but like all players in Spain has a release clause embedded into his contract. This release clause is reportedly valued to be €50 million.
Loïc Badé makes strides for Les Bleus
2024 was an important year for Badé. The centre-back was part of the France U23s that went to the final in the Olympic Games, earning a silver medal as they lost to Spain 5-3 in extra time. Following the Paris Olympics, Badé earned his first call-up to the national team.
