kicker reports that 1.FC Köln rejected VfB Stuttgart’s approach for left-back Max Finkgräfe about a transfer in this window.
After the termination of Frans Krätzig’s loan at the club, Stuttgart could do with a specialist left-back and they have previously been interested in Köln’s Finkgräfe. The Mönchengladbach-born left-back has struggled to hold a place in the starting 11 recently due to the return to form of Leart Paqarada.
Stuttgart are said to have enquired about the possibility of Finkgräfe moving to the MHP Arena this summer but Köln rejected their approach.
Köln are currently trying to gain promotion back to the Bundesliga at the first time of asking and currently sits top of the 2.Bundesliga table.
However, a move in the future cannot be ruled out. It is implied that Stuttgart will continue to make a move happen in this window, and if it is not possible, a move in the summer is likely.
The Domstadt side are set to have an exodus of several academy products over the next few months with striker Tim Lemperle already agreeing to a move to Hoffenheim, while Jonas Urbig has consistently been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent weeks.
