At a press conference today, Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner praised new signing Luca Pellegrini, who is pushing to start on the left side of defence. He also revealed that Daichi Kamada is doubtful for Sunday’s game against FC Köln.

A week ago, Luca Pellegrini joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan deal from Juventus – and the 23-year-old left-back has made a great first impression.
“Luca Pellegrini has confirmed our impressions. He’s a very dynamic and athletic player with a lot of confidence,” Glasner told reporters at a press conference before Sunday’s Bundesliga clash with FC Köln.
Pellegrini is competing with Christopher Lenz for a spot on the left side of defence and could potentially come straight into the starting eleven.
“He is very open and communicative and was integrated very quickly. I still have two days to decide on the lineup,” noted Glasner.
In addition to Almamy Touré, Jerome Onguene and Aurelio Buta, Eintracht will also be without Ajdin Hrustic, as he’s sidelined with a thigh injury, Glasner revealed. Meanwhile, Daichi Kamada is a doubt after missing training today due to illness.
