Hertha BSC have confirmed the departure of 25-year-old central defender Omar Alderete.
Alderete has joined Spanish La Liga outfit Getafe on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.
“We thank Omar for his time at Hertha BSC and wish him all the best for his future,” Hertha chief Fredi Bobic commented.
Hertha put a reported transfer fee of €4 million on the table to sign Alderete from FC Basel in 2020.
He spent last season out on loan at Valencia.
