Sky Germany reports RB Leipzig are looking to ramp up their winter business and are looking to reinforce their defence and attack.
Leipzig’s interest in Ridle Baku is widely known. The midfielder’s contract at Woflsburg expires in the summer and Leipzig sees him as their number-one option as a replacement for Benjamin Henrichs, who is out injured.
However, there is currently a stalemate in negotiations over the transfer fee. Wolfsburg want a fee of around €3-4m but Leipzig’s current offer is below the asking price. If things do not improve, Leipzig will look elsewhere with Red Bull Salzburg’s Amar Dedic as one of several options.
Speaking of Leipzig’s sister team, Sky Germany also reports that the Saxony side wants to improve their attack. AC Milan’s Noah Okafor is of interest to the club. Okafor is familiar with the Red Bull style of playing, having played for Salzburg before moving to Lombardy. Currently, the Swiss international is out with a calf injury.
In return for Okafor moving to Germany, André Silva is expected to leave the side. Leipzig tried to offload the striker in the summer, to no success and will try again this month.
