As broken by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but are yet to see eye-to-eye with Barcelona over the transfer fee.
Chelsea have been in the market for a new striker following Timo Werner’s departure to RB Leipzig.
It is believed that The Blues have reached an agreement with Aubameyang regarding the personal terms of a contract.
However, Chelsea and Barcelona are yet to reach a deal over the Gabonese international’s transfer fee. The Blaugrana are sticking firm to their €30 million asking price, which the Premier League side do not want to pay.
It appears as though Chelsea are only willing to commit €17.5 million to secure the services of the 33-year-old.
Despite the stubbornness of the Catalan side, it might be in their interest to offload Aubameyang to improve their financial standing so that they can register their new signings, including Jules Koundé.
Xavi has maintained that Aubameyang is a part of his future plans at the club.
