Noussair Mazraoui has officially joined Bayern München from Ajax.
FC Bayern München have officially confirmed the arrival of Noussair Mazraoui on a free transfer from Ajax.
The 24-year-old right-back makes the switch to Allianz Arena on a four-year contract.
“Noussair Mazraoui is the next building block as we continue to strengthen our team in a targeted way. We have big aims again for the new season, and players such as Noussair Mazraoui increase our options. We’re also looking forward to taking on the Champions League again with him and we want to celebrate a lot of successes together in the coming years,” stated club CEO Oliver Kahn.
“We’re pleased to make Noussair Mazraoui our first new signing of the summer,” added board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic.
“He had offers from all over Europe and chose us because we have a clear plan with him and want to achieve big things with him. Noussair is a player who presses forward a lot down the right side. We also really like his mentality – he’s fired up for this challenge at FC Bayern.”
Mazraoui stated:
“Straight from the first discussions with FC Bayern, I had a good feeling and I’m excited about joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe. FC Bayern have just become German champions for the 10th year in a row and will be among the contenders to win the Champions League again next season. I’ve chosen this club because I can win the biggest titles here.”
The 24-year-old Moroccan defender made 136 appearances for Ajax with 10 goals and nine assists to his name.
