Premier League side Southampton sacked Russell Martin after their 5-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and they are now making progress in their move for ex-Roma boss Ivan Juric.
While other names have been linked with the Saints, it now seems as if Juric is a key name to come in as manager.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that negotiations between Southampton and Juric are ongoing and he could now be getting ready for a new adventure.
The Croatian’s contract with Roma has now been terminated and this will make it easier for him to join a new club, with the English side continuing talks for the manager. He is now a clear favourite to become the club’s next manager and the report states that a move is now being finalised.
The Croatian has previously managed Hellas Verona and Torino and he overperformed with the resources at hand, which is something that could appeal to Southampton fans.
