AS Monaco have officialised the extension of Soungoutou Magassa’s (21) contract. The France youth international is now tied to the Principality club until 2029.
The France U21 international, who came through the club’s academy, has made 39 appearances for his formative club, 13 of which have come this season. Against Benfica, the defensive midfielder netted his first goal in the UEFA Champions League.
The midfielder, who has also filled in at centre-back, has provided vital cover for Denis Zakaria and then Lamine Camara, demonstrating not only an ability to fill in when called upon but also an ability to challenge the Zakaria-Camara partnership established at the start of the season.

Magassa’s deal with Monaco has been set to run until the summer of 2027. However, amid a strong run of form, the Principality club have reacted, agreeing a two-year extension.
