Germany’s main sporting tabloid reports that Eintracht Frankfurt defender Almamy Touré has picked up a muscular injury that will sideline him for up to two months.

The notoriously wobbly and thin Eintracht Frankfurt defensive ranks may have suffered another hammer blow. According to Germany’s Sport Bild, one of Oliver Glasner’s starters in the back-three will be out for months with a muscle tear. Almamy Touré Touré, a regular alongside Lucas Silva “Tuta” Melo and Evan N’Dicka, will be unable to play until at least October.
Should the rumor prove true, the matter certainly shifts the transfer market calculus of SGE sporting director Markus Krösche. The club’s lead administrator will have to procure a replacement before the transfer window closes. Sport Bild reports that Krösche is seeking someone on a loan basis and that Dortmund expendable Manuel Akanji might be a candidate.
