As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla are in advanced discussions to sign French central-defender Tanguy Nianzou (20) from Bayern Munich.
Negotiations are progressing and Nianzou remains a priority target for Sevilla, who hope to conclude a deal this week. The Frenchman would arrive following the departure of Jules Koundé to Barcelona.
This also comes after Bayern Munich signed Matthijs de Ligt (22) from Juventus last month, placing Nianzou behind the Dutchman, Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez and even Benjamin Pavard, who has played predominantly at right-back for Bayern, ahead of the French youth international.
Speaking in March, Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann praised the mentality of Nianzou: “You can see that he has a very good character, that he throws everything in. He has unbelievable aggressiveness and a winning mentality that is extraordinary.”
Nianzou joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer from PSG in 2020 and has played 28 games across all competitions, he is also captain of the France U20 team.
