Bayern Munich’s uncertain future gives rivals hope

Bayern Munich’s head scout Pirmin Schwegler has flown to Switzerland to watch 20-year-old Fabian Rieder, according to Blick Sport. The Young Boys midfielder is turning heads across Europe, as Real Madrid are also keen on signing the young talent.

However, any imminent move is unlikely as Rieder signed a contract extension with the Swiss club this summer. The midfielder made his way through the academy at Young Boys before joining the first team last season. Rieder totaled 2 goals and 8 assists in 30 league appearances in his first year with the senior side.

Rieder’s contract expires in 2025.
