Third-placed Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille will visit Will Still’s RC Lens this Saturday at 5pm CET at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Roberto De Zerbi’s Phocéens need to bounce back from their shock 3-1 home defeat against promoted side Auxerre before the international break. Marseille also need to close the gap to second-placed Monaco, which won at home against Brest on Friday.
The Italian manager has plenty of options against Will Still’s RC Lens. Centre-back Derek Cornelius, wing-back Pol Lirola and midfielder Amine Harit are the only absentees whilst Lilian Brassier has been dropped from the matchday squad by De Zerbi after a string of poor performances at the back.
At the other side of the pitch, the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager is spoilt for choice. He is expected to field a trio of strikers accustomed to English football with Mason Greenwood, Neal Maupay, and Jonathan Rowe all set to lead the line. Former Lens centre-forward Elye Wahi drops to the bench.
Marseille likely line-up v Lens
Geronimo Rulli; Michael Murillo, Leonardo Balerdi, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Quentin Merlin; Adrien Rabiot, Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg, Valentin Rongier; Mason Greenwood, Neal Maupay, Jonathan Rowe. (L’Eq)
