After just over two years at the club, Eduard Graf has been dismissed as the head scout at Borussia Dortmund with immediate effect.
During his tenure as scout, Graf has brought in multiple players including Maximilian Beier, Waldemar Anton and Felix Nmecha alongside many more.
He joined in September 2022 and has overseen two whole seasons and two full summer transfer windows.
His most notable transfer business came at the start of 2024, when he signed both Ian Maatsen and Jadon Sancho on loan to the club in moves which brought about a lot of fan excitement.
Now, under the tenure of sporting director Lars Ricken, he has fallen out of favour and has been dismissed amid growing pressure within the club.
In a statement to Sky Germany and Bild, Borussia Dortmund’s director Ricken said: “We have different ideas about the future of our scouting department.”
With the club in seventh place in the Bundesliga and out of the DFB-Pokal, this change might mark the first of many for BVB.
