Sky Sports News journalist Kaveh Solhekol understands that Juventus and Paul Pobga (31) are set to part ways by mutual consent later today.
Pogba saw his lengthy four-year ban reduced to 18 months last month. The ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) means that the former Manchester United midfielder is able to return to action in March 2025. He had stated a desire to remain with Juventus, even suggesting that he would take a pay cut to do so, however, it now looks highly likely that the two parties will part ways.
Sky Sports News reported earlier this week that talks between Pogba and Juventus over a contract termination had reached an advanced stage. The mutual termination of the Frenchman’s contract is set to be concluded later on Friday, Solhekol understands.
Pogba, who is currently training in Miami, Florida, will then be on a search for a new club, and according to Solhekol, he is keen to play for a club competing in this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup, set to be held in the US.
